Account Executive/New Business Development
Job Description:
Job Summary
Responsible for new business development, account management, and direct sales of software development services. This role executes all phases of the sales process including:
- Follow-up on marketing-generated leads
- Self-generation of leads
- Building and nurturing relationships
- Understanding client needs
- Operating as primary point of contact
- Coordinating information gathering sessions with technical sales support team
- Developing sales strategies
- Developing a prospect community
- Developing sales proposals
- Following-up on proposals
- Closing the sale
Compensation
- Full-time salary position includes:
- Base salary
- Benefits
- Commissions on gross sales
- Potential to earn $250k+ with no cap on commissions
Physical Requirements
- Ability to travel up to 25%
Skills:
Experience
- Proven track record of successfully selling products and services in a B2B environment using a consultative approach
- Proven track record of delivering and maintaining multi-million dollar account revenues
- Experience effectively presenting and selling services to decision makers, including presidents, business owners, and C-level executives in operations and finance
- Experience effectively selling solutions that address both the current and future needs of an organization
- Experience understanding the goals and objectives of an organization and in selling solutions that would be of benefit to an organization
- Highly effective in identifying prospects and focusing time and energy on top prospects
- Highly effective in closing sales
- Experience managing and understanding a long sales cycle
- Experience in monitoring, forecasting, and reporting pipeline, current, and recurring revenue
- Excellence in maintaining documentation and knowledge of relevant details for each sales engagement (including client needs, project scope, issues, risks, opportunities, budget, timeline, etc.) via a database process

Credentials
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Technology, Engineering, or related field preferred
- Five+ years of successful sales experience
- Prefer a strong emphasis on software development services, integration services, software solutions, and information technology
