SLAS Biotech Conference

SLAS 2025 brought together over 7,000 scientists, researchers, and industry leaders in San Diego, creating a vibrant hub of innovation. We experienced firsthand the palpable excitement as everyone embraced AI's transformative power to elevate lab automation, setting the stage for a dynamic exchange of ideas and solutions.

Innovation in Action: Showcasing Our Expertise

At Booth 2610, visitors witnessed how our deep life sciences expertise drives software innovation. Our solutions are built on a component-based foundation that is exceptionally customizable—one of Integrant’s core beliefs. This approach allows us to surpass off-the-shelf alternatives without compromising on cost or innovation. Our ready-to-integrate components, which include AI-powered image recognition, intelligent scheduling, and data-driven automation, demonstrated how smart, tailor-made solutions can transform laboratory operations without necessitating a complete system overhaul.

Scientists and automation engineers were particularly drawn to our ability to deploy fully customizable solutions in as few as three months, ensuring rapid implementation and the flexibility to adapt to evolving needs.

Driving Innovation with Hamilton: A Custom Approach to Liquid Handling Automation

Driving Innovation with Hamilton: Custom Solutions for Liquid Handling Automation

A standout moment at SLAS 2025 was our Hamilton Exhibitor Tutorial, presented by our Solution Architect, Bishoy Youssef, in collaboration with Hamilton.

Session: "Driving Innovation with Hamilton: Custom Solutions for Liquid Handling Automation"

Our presentation tackled the growing complexity in today’s laboratories, where automation and AI are improving processes—yet challenges persist. Many existing solutions are hampered by rigid LIMS systems and fragmented software tools that struggle to support truly custom workflows.

Our presentation tackled the growing complexity in today’s laboratories, where automation and AI are advancing liquid handling processes. We demonstrated how custom interfaces can enhance laboratory workflows through real-time visualization and optimization.

Leveraging Hamilton’s APIs and ecosystem, we showcased a custom interface concept for self-optimizing liquid class development that integrates:

  • Custom dashboards displaying run status
  • Real-time efficiency monitoring
  • Integration with Venus methods
  • Optimization tools for liquid handling

To overcome these challenges, we showcased a concept we developed. Leveraging Hamilton’s APIs and ecosystem, we demonstrated how to build self-optimizing liquid class development tools that integrate:

✅ Automated scheduling for efficient workflow management
✅ Real-time data processing for continuous optimization
✅ Enhanced camera functionality for improved precision
✅ Seamless initiation of the Venus method

While this proof-of-concept isn’t a standalone product, it powerfully illustrated how Hamilton’s advanced systems, when paired with our customizable, component-based solutions, bridge the gap between cutting-edge technology and everyday laboratory needs.

Accelerating Scientific Discovery with Tailored Automation

A recurring theme at SLAS 2025 was the need for solutions that adapt seamlessly to unique laboratory workflows. We engaged with:

  • Automation engineers seeking seamless integration with LIMS, ELN, and other lab software
  • Research scientists eager to accelerate drug discovery with AI-driven tools
  • Lab directors in search of scalable, customizable solutions that integrate with existing infrastructure

At Integrant, our component-based yet customizable solutions empower labs to boost productivity, deploy rapidly, and evolve over time—ensuring that innovation is never compromised by off-the-shelf limitations or prohibitive costs.

Beyond the Booth: Engaging Experiences and Exclusive Events

Integrant at SLAS 2025

Science and fun converged at our booth, where interactive demos such as the caffeine molecule claw machine and live AI-powered demonstrations highlighted the real-world impact of our technology. Attendees explored:

🤖 AI-powered image recognition for accurate sample identification
📅 Intelligent scheduling to streamline complex workflows
🧪 Custom-tailored workflows designed to meet unique research needs

In addition to our booth activities, we hosted our second annual dinner for leaders in the automated chemistry community. This year, they celebrate the launch of their new TIG, in addition to the second year of dedicated tracks on the conference schedule. This intimate gathering provided a unique opportunity to exchange ideas, forge strategic partnerships, and toast to the future of innovation in lab automation.

Hamilton’s Monday night party was a memorable night out at the famous San Diego Midway, offering attendees a fun and unique networking environment. This event allowed conference goers to relax, connect, eat, and build lasting relationships in a vibrant and unconventional setting. A few lucky folks even got to meet Tom Cruise (iykyk)!

Looking Ahead

SLAS 2025 reaffirmed our commitment to developing automation solutions that evolve alongside scientific discovery. With a growing demand for AI-driven tools, seamless integration, and flexible automation, the future of laboratory innovation is brighter than ever.

At Integrant, we’re excited to continue collaborating with scientists, engineers, and industry leaders to create custom automation solutions that accelerate discovery and drive progress—always delivering the perfect blend of cost-efficiency, innovation, and adaptability.
